Overwatch – First anniversary
In the evening of May 17, Blizzard officially announced that from May 23 to June 12 in the team shooter Overwatch will be an event dedicated to the first anniversary of the game. In addition, from May 26 to 29 there will be another free weekend for anyone who wants to try Overwatch before buying.
The details of the upcoming game event have not been disclosed yet, but knowing that the Overwatch team produces a lot of thematic items, one can safely assume that this time we will receive new outfits, portraits, and other pleasant festive things.
The event also coincides with the release of a new anniversary edition for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Beginners will be presented with 10 containers with trophies, as well as five skins for the heroes of this game. In addition, as in Deluxe Edition, players will receive additional content to other games of the company.
In addition, recently on his Reddit page, Michael Chu hinted to the fans that the Cat in the jetpack can appear in the game. If this really happens, it is possible that the cat will be only a Torbjorn’s pet, and will not turn out to be another playable character
Overwatch – New Arena Maps
Within the celebration of such a significant event, several new maps will appear in the game. Such information became known thanks to a message on the official Twitter channel of the project.
Maps look like alternative versions of already existing battlefields. Dorado, Temple of Anubis and others already available in the game. So far, no details have been revealed about which modes will be available on the new Arenas. The maps probably were created for 3v3 or 1v1, however, it is worth waiting for official information.
I want to remind that the anniversary event will be held from May 23 to June 12. During the event, festive containers with unique objects and skins will be available.
